The Sick With Shame project just started, and for now there are only a small handful of Evanescence videos capped, but it will be expanded in the future to include other artists and videos that I like. While I am not currently taking requests, that will be part of the expansion, so please wait if you have a music video you need capped. If you happen to have an urgent request, you can post it as a comment to this entry, but please provide a link of where I might find the video in MPG/MPEG format only; WinDVD won't cap AVI files and VLC/BSPlayer doesn't have good screencapping performance on my computer.

Oh, and if that last paragraph is out of line or against the rules (I didn't see it explicitly stated anywhere, but I could have missed it.), please let me know and I'll edit the post accordingly. :)

This community used to be here to share my screencaps and I would periodically post icons made from my caps. It got to the point where I was posting more icons than screencaps, so I've decided to rededicate this community to sharing my icons, friends-only banners, etc. I may still post screencaps from time to time, but the site isn't being updated much anymore.

Someone in one of my icon communities requested some bases yesterday of gothic architecture and/or angel statues. I did an image search (i.google) and ran across several good images. I ended up with 14 icons; 12 architecture and 2 angels. The requesting post has since been deleted, but I thought I would share these with everyone else as well.

Someone asked me if I had any more icons from The End of The World. I didn't, but made some simple texty quote icons. Ended up with 15; two of which are animated.

Erm, okay, here's my resource post.

For taking screencaps: BSPlayer -
There's a nifty "P" feature to send your caps to any preselected directory, with your own filename formatting. *likes a lot* Comes ready to play most files, too, so not a lot of extra codec is required.

For manipulating images: Adobe Photoshop (7) -
Photoshop is the best photoeditor out there, in my opinion. I've used a variety of different ones, but Photoshop has never let me down in terms of doing what I wanted to do to an image.

For Zipping/Compressing archives: WinRAR -
Compresses quickly and easily, and has nifty "right-click" capabilities that I like. I use this to compress, and Windows XP to decompress .zip files.

To maintain the site:
Linkster - Simple PHP script to manage links. Not widely available or supported anymore.
WordPress - PHP blogging application to maintain preview images and updates.

This isn't a real update by any means, as I haven't yet capped the new Loveless and Trinity Blood or any more of The L Word, but I wanted to point out that I've added an image preview feature. You can now visit the official update blog where I'll post preview images that I've slightly optimized and resized (for load time) so you can see what you're getting before downloading the archives. I currently only have preview images up for Trinity Blood episodes 1-3, as I'm redoing the Loveless archives from the raw, unsubbed episodes that I got, but at least it's there. Any time I add an archive, I'll post the update there in the appropriate category, which are fully searchable. Goddess bless Wordpress. :)

So I'm off for now. Maybe I'll go get those episodes re-capped. ^_^

Alright!  I'm back on my computer now, so I can post the archives that I have much sooner than expected.  I have much to do the next few days, but expect what I have by the weekend.  ^_^  Yay!

Are there any requests for shows or movies to be capped?  If I can find it via torrent or other download source, I will cap it if I like it.

I'm sorry I haven't yet posted my archives. I'm working on finishing up L Word Season 1 so I'll have a full CD of archives and won't waste a CD with not filling it up. I'm a little anal about that.. sorry. I would transfer them one by one via other means, but the archive files are too large for a floppy and will have to be burned to CD.

Why the problems? The computer I watch everything on is not the computer with internet access. =\ It may be some time before I have the money to get that (honestly better) computer online, so until then I transfer files back and forth on CD/Floppy Disc.

So my apologies again, but unless you want to send me money to buy more CDs or the $100 it will cost for the router/receiver, you'll just have to wait for me to finish capping L Word. That really should be by next week though, so you don't have long to wait, and I'll likely have Loveless #4 by then as well. =)

Hi! This is Cherrii, and I'm the moderator/owner of this community. It's a community for the sharing of screencaps for use in graphics of all types. Whether they're icons, wallpapers, layouts, mood themes, banners, or just graphics, our screencaps are up for free grabs!

We offer only the highest quality caps with minimal subtitles/credits to mar the beautiful art/photography.

Membership is currently open, pending approval by me. Don't worry though. If you can show that your screencaps are good quality, I'll approve you no problem for posting access (see more at end of post). All caps should be organized by episode into individual .zip archives. All archives should be posted in the download directory provided by me and linked above. Please don't post any archives that are hosted elsewhere. You'll receive information for uploading the archives to the directory upon posting approval. If you can't upload the .zip files fia the ftp option I provide, email either the archive or the external URL of the archive to me. I'll get it uploaded to the proper directory and email the URL to you for posting. This option may take longer than direct ftp access, but any posts containing links to external archive URLs will be deleted upon discovery.

This may sound strict, but rules are necessary to provide the best quality screencaps at the fastest possible download speed.

Notice to downloaders: Please limit your downloads to two or three archives at once. This is to ensure that everyone maintains a good download speed. If everyone downloads several archives at once, it will kill the available bandwidth and your downloads will be slower. Help us make sure you get the fastest, best quality downloads. =)

Also, if you use our screencaps in icons, banners, wallpapers, etc that you intend to distribute, please credit pieces_shatter. You may wish to also credit the individual provider of specific caps, but unless specified by said provider, it's not necessary.
